View

Grays Peak (14,278 ft) and Torreys Peak (14,275 ft) are connected by a high saddle and are the most popular paired 14er climb in the state. The trail begins at the Stevens Gulch trailhead, a dirt road off I-70 near Bakerville. The route climbs steeply through alpine tundra to the Grays Peak summit, then descends 400 feet to the saddle before ascending Torreys. Most parties climb Grays first and then decide whether to add Torreys based on weather. The full route is 7.5 miles round trip with 3,900 feet of gain. Both peaks sit on the Continental Divide, offering panoramic views of the Front Range and the Tenmile Range.
