Colorado Springs sits at the base of Pikes Peak and is one of the most outdoor-oriented cities in the state. Garden of the Gods, a free public park, features towering red rock formations against the backdrop of Pikes Peak. The city is also home to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls, and the Broadmoor resort complex. Pikes Peak (14,115 ft) is accessible by car on the Pikes Peak Highway or by the historic cog railway. Manitou Springs, the adjacent historic town, is known for its mineral springs and bohemian arts district.
