About this place

Boulder sits at the base of the Flatirons, distinctive sandstone slabs visible from most of the city. The city's identity is shaped by its position as a university town (University of Colorado Boulder), a hub for tech and startups, and a center for outdoor sports culture. Pearl Street Mall is a four-block pedestrian promenade with shops, restaurants, street performers, and farmers markets. Chautauqua Park is the primary trailhead for hiking the Flatirons and Royal Arch. Boulder is one of the top rock climbing destinations in the country, with Eldorado Canyon State Park and the Flatirons providing classic routes. The city also anchors one of the state's most concentrated craft beer scenes.
